I'm not a painter, yet when I paint it distracts me from the noise of the outside world. I therefore class it as therapy, but what if it could also be a community?
I've seen a bottle of paint called Black 3.0 that's supposed to be the darkest black available. When it's used, it fades so effortlessly into the background that the images in front of it look like they're floating. It's £20 a bottle, I have £10, so I've gathered my old canvasses and created three pictures with neon paint that I found for a tenner. I've also borrowed some brushes and black acrylic, so if I can sell these for £7.50+ each on eBay, I get to see if Black 3.0 is really as good as it sounds. Doesn't that also sound like affordable art?
My previous blogs have all had a distinctive end goal - I once sent postcards to my brother for a year, giving him a point every time he replied, and also tried to bowl the perfect game, but this one has a much more fluid goal. Initially, it's therapy and Black 3.0. Let's have some fun.
